Whether you're looking for thoughtful Christmas gift ideas or just want some creative fun over the holidays, this class is sure to tick all your boxes.
Hosted by Claire, an experienced Newcastle-based jeweller, you'll learn to use epoxy resin to create brightly coloured Christmas decorations in any shape or colour you can imagine. Create personalised baubles with the names of your nearest and dearest or create your own tradition with a one-of-a-kind piece of handmade art to hang on the tree — the possibilities are endless.
After a warm welcome to Claire's studio space, she'll guide you through the process of designing your dream Christmas decoration, along with guidelines on how to work safely with the two-part epoxy resin. You'll also learn how to use glitter, sea glass, coloured powder and other embellishments to give your finished baubles even more personality.
Don't worry if this is your first time working with resin — or even with crafting in general — as Claire will be on hand to share her top tips on how to make your baubles merry and bright. Due to curing time, the baubles will be ready to collect after three days.
Please note: The teacher can accommodate groups of up to four people at her studio. For larger groups, a venue can be arranged, or you're welcome to arrange your own.
