In this painting workshop in London, we will engage the creative possibilities that embrace the unknown as a generative space for creating abstract painting. Hosted by Green on the Lanes and facilitated by artist Josie Alexandra, you'll be introduced to painting processes from Josie’s own practice, whilst being supported to find your own unique style.
This workshop is for all levels, from beginners just wanting to make a start to experienced painters looking to break out of familiar patterns. This is an opportunity to let go of rigid expectations, build trust in the process, and experience painting as an open-ended conversation and way of thinking.
**What you'll do:**
- Work through guided creative exercises.
- Experiment with methods that support us to embrace conscious presence with our surroundings and our own ways of moving through space.
- Learn how to allow line, form, texture and colour to emerge intuitively.
- Learn practical techniques to utilise the uncertainty of an 'unknown and unplanned outcome' as a creative practice rather than a limitation.
All participants receive a complimentary 10% discount on homewares, plants, and pots on the evening of the event. By the end of the workshop, you'll have explored new approaches to painting, gained confidence in your creative process, and developed a deeper understanding of abstract expression.
