Hosted by sisters Claudia and Giselle, you'll join us in one of our welcoming North London homes to discover three of Britain's best-loved afternoon tea classics using the family recipes we grew up with.
No baking experience is needed! Whether you're travelling solo, as a couple, with friends, or family, this is a warm, sociable experience where you'll meet fellow travellers, share great conversation, and enjoy genuine British hospitality.
**What to expect:**
- We'll start with a refreshing welcome drink before tying on aprons and baking together in a relaxed small group.
- As we bake, you'll master beautifully light, buttery scones, make traditional crumpets with their signature small holes that soak up melting butter and jam.
- Create homemade lemon curd -- a silky, intensely lemony spread that's been a beloved part of British teatime for generations.
- Discover the stories behind these iconic bakes, plenty of baking tips, and the little techniques that help you recreate them with confidence at home.
Once everything is ready, we'll gather around the kitchen table to enjoy your freshly baked scones and warm crumpets with homemade lemon curd, jams, clotted cream, and a pot of English tea.
Whether it's your first time baking or you're bringing a young baker along, we'll provide as much guidance and encouragement as you need, making sure everyone feels confident and included. There's plenty of opportunity to ask questions, and you'll head home with all the recipes to recreate a traditional British afternoon tea wherever you are in the world.
