Private Cyanotype Workshop Reviews

This is a fun activity in Canary Wharf, London

Join this private cyanotype session at BE KA Art Studio, Elena's riverside atelier at Trinity Buoy Wharf, just moments from Canary Wharf. Set at your own pace, this tailored one-to-one (or small group) format is perfect for exploring the technique in a bit more depth.

Cyanotype is one of the oldest photographic printing processes, and one of the most satisfying – using only sunlight, water and natural materials. You'll arrange botanicals, feathers or shells onto coated paper, expose them to light, then rinse your print and watch that distinctive deep blue image bloom. No cameras, no screens, no experience needed – just you, some plants and the light doing the rest.

This private format is ideal for a special occasion, a creative day with friends or family, or simply a more personal, flexible pace than a group taster session. You'll:

- Arrange botanicals and objects to compose your own prints
- Explore techniques and materials in more depth, at your own pace
- Add a personal touch with photo on film, wooden letters, drawings or handwritten details
- Expose your work in sunlight or UV light
- Develop your prints in water and watch the images appear

Sessions run for two hours as standard, though this can be adjusted to suit you, and step-free access with disabled toilets is available on site.

Please note: by attending, you agree that photos and videos may be taken for promotional use on the BE KA website and social channels. If you'd rather not appear, just let Elena know and your wishes will be respected.

A perfect Saturday. Really enjoyed the class and the teacher was so patient and generous with her time and expertise. Had the best time, learnt a lot and am very proud of the art work we produced. Going to get it framed. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
