This is a fun activity in Ipswich

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space?Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.

During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.

You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

The teacher answered all of my questions. Understood my needs and gave me a demo to show how to achieve what I want with the machine.

Amber was really good at guiding me through what I had requested to learn , I also picked up some extra tips along the way. I now feel more confident to do a couple of projects on my Cricut. I would definitely recommend a one to one class.

Firstly, I must say that the member of staff was very good, obviously knowledgeable and helpful and I don't blame her at all for my experience. However, I was really very disappointed in the "One to One Cricut Workshop" I attended at my local Hobbycraft. I paid £21 for it and all it involved was standing at a desk while the staff member showed me on the computer a few things I could do with my machine using the app. To me, a workshop is sitting at a table, being able to use a machine oneself, hopefully with some printed handouts detailing the very complicated procedure needed to produce results from the machine. Just watching somebody who knows what they are doing quickly click through the app hasn't helped me to understand how the machine works I'm fafraid. I feel that what we had (I had paid an extra £5 for my daughter to be able to stand beside me) was a demonstration. We were even interrupted a couple of times by other staff who had queries! As I say, I don't blame the lady who did the demo (and that's what it was) but that I had to pay £21 for it was outrageous. Many of my friends agree that it was not worth the money, and I would not recommend workshops at the store I'm afraid.
