Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space?Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.

During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.

You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

I tried to book the workshop on my birthday – the day I received my Cricut Joy, but it was unavailable. So, by the time I attended one week later I had watched several Youtube videos and already tried out some of the actions . Instead of being a complete newbie I had a whole range of random questions from when things had not gone as expected! So probably not the most structured of workshops, but the teacher was able to help me understand Desing Space better and suggest different approaches. She had lots of useful tips (like taking the blade out if you want to make a pen/drawing addition to your card after it is finished, so that the “cut” does not get repeated) and general advice on using different weights of paper, card, vinyl etc and choice of mats if necessary. I am also now clearer on the difference between inset cards and cutaway cards and the importance of “attaching”. My first attempt at using the vinyl supplied in the Welcome Pack to initiate the Circuit Joy had resulted in a tangled mess of sticky tape – so it was very helpful to see how to use the transfer tape and get a smooth finish. Overall, a very helpful and friendly workshop with lots of advice and of course access to lots of bits to buy in the shop! Below is an over-embelished card, but it did give me the opportunity to practice lots and realise the importance of using the right sized template so your design is centered and you don't have to fill up the space with flowers!
