“Avoid this business. My friend and I booked a £45 workshop through ClassBento, and the experience was not pleasant at all, from start to finish. We were never informed that the venue location had changed, discovering the mistake only upon arrival at the original address. To make matters worse, one of the instructors turned up late to the session. The session in itself was nice and the teacher (even though again called last minute to do the job, did her best and we learnt how to use the wheel and we made few pottery pieces.
The pricing structure is intentionally misleading. We were hit with unexpected extra fees at the end of the class just to keep our creations, paying £5 under the impression it covered a future painting session. What followed was weeks of total radio silence. They completely ignored our ClassBento messages, and when we finally tracked down the owner, we were aggressively told our pieces would be disposed of if we didn't return immediately.
When we went to collect our items and requested a refund for the coloring fee, the owner flatly denied our request, claiming we had to pay for an entire additional class just to paint them. When we raised these issues, the customer service was completely careless. The owner took zero ownership of the miscommunication, showed absolutely no interest or care, and dismissively blamed our spam filters. They are indifferent, unprofessional, and entirely profit-driven. Save your time and money.”
