“A very enjoyable morning, Nicole (sensei) was very knowledgeable. Beautiful setting, lovely morning tea, clear instruction. Highly recommend this class and addictive art.”
“Nicole and her small studio reflected her particular creativity with plenty of pieces to peruse and inspire.
The sewing packs were well organised ready to get started, with full instructions to take home. The concept is not hard to grasp but practice will yield beautiful results relative quickly I believe.
I was a little slow to get started but felt no judgement or irritation by Nicole, only encouragement and flexibility.
The ethos of wabi-sabi (imperfection) made my first venture into something new non-stressful.
I look forward to finishing my project at home and would certainly plan to have another class with Nicole again next year.”
“I enjoyed the class on Saturday afternoon. Nicole was very welcoming, had a lot of knowledge and was very helpful with advice and tips. Her studio was light and comfortable and filled with beautiful items on display. The kit was very well packaged, she provided a wide range of fabrics to suit all tastes, and the written instructions for finishing off the bag were clear. I would definitely recommend the class with Nicole - and her lovely afternoon tea!”
“I was almost completely new to Sashiko so this class was exactly what I needed to set me up with the knowledge to attempt any Sashiko project.
The venue was nice, the afternoon tea was delicious and Nicole is a great teacher and shared so much knowledge and experience!”
“This workshop was perfectly pitched for beginners in a beautifully equipped studio. We were enticed with many samples, guided through the techniques and well on the way of finishing our individual project with encouragement to explore the further by a skilled and congenial tutor. Plus a very yummy cake. I would happily recommend this workshop for anyone interested in mindful stitchcraft.”
