This was a really fun and creative day of Glass work. This was my first time working with glass. Mark was a patient and knowledgeable teacher. The projects were well structured for skill building and I was really happy with the finished pieces I took home. Generous provision of materials and small class size made this really good value. I will definitely book the follow-up level 2 class.

To the outsider, everything about glassblowing looks enormously difficult – the heat, the fragility, the chemistry and the basic physics. Our teacher, Mark made the process easy and enjoyable, explained basic techniques and allowed us to experiment with glass and torch to get the feel of the material. It was intense but rewarding, as we managed to craft a few original pieces to take home. I can now imagine the amount of work that goes into some of the pieces he (Mark) has created. The studio itself had a very warm and encouraging, "creative" atmosphere, allowing someone who is not creative at all to feel like an artist. It was a fantastic XMas present, highly recommend it.

I have wanted to try glass blowing for many years and this class was fantastic. Mark was a skilled and patient teacher who adapts his explanations for the individual. I made a couple of cute little pieces but more importantly I want to try again. The class isn’t cheap but gives excellent value for money. Definitely recommend.
