“This class was amazing! Instructor let me ask for a custom date and it happened to work out! We made wagashi which was super fun, and everyone in the class was nice (hi if you're reading this thanks for being so nice and letting me borrow the apron!!).
The dogs (who stayed outside) were cute, too. There was a detailed presentation that helped us understand the history behind the desserts as well as how the dough, filling, etc., are made, what the ingredients were and where to buy them.. it was cool! It helped me appreciate the art of the dessert/wagashi-making. the matcha ceremony was fun too (I love tea!). There was room for creativity in picking the colors, etc., which was also super fun!
Even though I've never done anything like this before, I think mine came out decently because the instructor helped out and explained things clearly! Plus, we got print-outs of the recipe so we could make them at home! :) I'm not in Australia much longer for now, but if I'm ever back, I'd take another class from this person!”
