I went into the class not knowing how to put a piping bag together and I came home with six cupcakes that I decorated and feel so good about. It felt like a great achievement in one mornings class.”
“My friends and I had SUCH a wonderful experience on Sunday at our Cupcake Decorating Class for Beginners! I have always loved baking, but have never been able to nail my icing, and had no idea where I was going wrong. So we decided to include the “add on class” before the decorating to learn how to actually make the buttercream icing, and I cannot recommend doing this more highly! Janeen was absolutely delightful, and such a wonderful teacher. Within the first half an hour I knew every single little thing I was doing wrong at home, so I now feel like I have the knowledge to successfully make my own icing and not mess it up! Then we got into the actual decorating part which was not only super fun, but incredibly informative. We learnt multiple piping techniques, how to actually get the icing mixture in the bag (something I was also completely buggering up at home) and which nozzles to use for creating different shapes.
Honestly, I still can’t believe how beautiful our cupcakes turned out! If we didn’t get photos during and after, I don’t think our friends would’ve believed any of us actually decorated them, lol.
