“I handcrafted a unique bezel ring at TheSilverRen and found it fun and creatively satisfying. I had never worked with metal jewellery before and had no idea what style I wanted to create, but the teacher Ren was very encouraging and the workshop had a relaxed environment. She laid out a wide variety of stones in terms of colour, size, and shape from which to choose and there were also bezel rings already made to view for inspiration.
I wanted to include a silver surround for my bezel (see picture), and stamped on a test copper strip for practice and ideas. Inspiration for a design came from working with the metal, and I not only stamped a pattern on the surround "top", but also stamped some words inside the ring to make it very personal.
Ren took me through all of the process steps with clear explanations and guidance, and provided the rewarding experience of developing new skills and creating a unique piece of jewellery. I highly recommend Ren at TheSilverRen for silver ring workshops.”
