“The teacher was bubbly, cheerful, and encouraging. The aim of the class was to produce an object, a travel drawing, and to inspire confidence that one could produce a similar object again, and the class met those aims.
I had thought the class would be an introduction to travel sketching, composition, shading, etc, (as alluded to in the photograph for this course -- a half drawn cathedral with a cathedral in the background) but while the class featured a quick intro to drawing skills, those weren't clearly linked into the rest of the class, the bulk of which was spent tracing the main parts of the travel photograph and then adding in details. Fun, but not what I had expected.”
