Valentine's Day Pottery Class: Sculpt Your Loved One Reviews

1.8 Rating 4 Reviews
The experience was quite lacking, I would have preferred to go to bowling or mini golf instead. We were stuffed in a small room above a pub with most windows closed and no aircon, sitting extremely close to other couples. The staff working left a huge space for themselves in teh middle while paying patrons had to be crammed on long tables with barely enough space to move iwthout tripping over chairs. The staff seemed mostly unhappy to be there and tried to be unhelpful, apart from a couple of nice ones that were approachable. I will be wary of using class bento again.

We attended this pottery class for a Valentine’s date and unfortunately left feeling very disappointed. The class was poorly managed and did not match the expectations set by the advertising. The promotional photos show finished, painted pieces, which gave the impression that painting and a guided process would be included. In reality, we were simply given clay and left to “play” with it. There was little to no instruction provided, and no clear explanation at the beginning about how the session would run, what techniques we’d learn, or what would happen to our pieces afterward. At the end of the class, we were told we could take our products to “our kiln people” and that we would need to return another time to paint them. None of this was explained upfront, which felt misleading and poorly communicated. The session also felt overcrowded, despite there appearing to be unused rooms. Some participants were seated right at the doorway to another room, which seemed disorganised and unnecessary. There was no music or atmosphere for the first half of the class, which made the experience feel flat especially for something marketed as a date activity. Water was not offered and had to be purchased separately, and grazing platters were being sold without proper cutlery, which didn’t make much sense. For $120 / $60each the experience did not feel structured, guided, or worth the price. We genuinely feel we could have bought clay ourselves and had a more enjoyable and better-organised experience at home. With clearer communication, better staffing, and improved organisation, this could be a much better experience but unfortunately, this wasn’t it for us.

Very Disappointing experience. The event was poorly planned. We were given the wrong address so we missed the first 30 minutes of the class. The instructor was not very helpful with instructions on how I could achieve a design they had suggested, gave me the impression that she did not know how to do it. Very little apology or acknowledgement that they messed up by giving us a wrong address. The room was over capacity with no room on the table for the supplies, drinks and grazing boards. The room was untidy with boxes and supplies scattered across the passage way to the bathroom. Very unimpressive. Will not book with them again.
