The class starts with an introduction to the bees' world and while Henry is talking we are tasting different types of honey. Yum! Then, the "second part" was time to meet the bees in person and see how things work in real life!”
“My team and I attended Henry's class as part of our end of year team work activity, we absolutely loved it! We had so much fun learning about the bees, their habits, place within the human food production cycle and environmental factors they face. We were also able to try some varieties of honey and drinks made from honey.
Henry was incredibly knowledgeable and keen to share this with us, answering all of our questions during the class. It's always great having a teacher who is super passionate about their area of expertise.
We also felt totally safe in the beekeeping gear when it came to being around the hives and getting up close - such a rare experience if you're not in the beekeeping world. Seeing the bees in action was great as we had the context we'd learnt from the initial part of the class. Henry even sent through an update on the bees we'd interacted with after the class.

Henry was an awesome teacher, taking his time to clearly explain all things bees to us (whilst sipping on his homemade kombucha and sampling different honeys!) before we suited up and had the opportunity to see the bees and hives up close. Henry’s friendly nature and great teaching style made for a very enjoyable 2 hours and I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who is interested in learning about beekeeping or who, like me, just has a bit of a love for the cute creatures.”
