“I've always been keen to do some wood carving, and carving a wooden spoon seemed like an easy way to try it out.
Stephen, our tutor, was understanding and patient. Always a good start. He clearly explained the correct use of the tools being used, the steps involved in the carving, and hovered around to provide advice.
I don't think my spoon is quite up to Christmas gifting quality, but I did learn a lot, and I enjoyed the class.
I'll be looking for similar opportunities.”
“Very rewarding class! I left with a huge smile and a masterpiece of a spoon :) Great teachers who are friendly, patient and give very good explanations and demonstrations. I couldn’t believe how well everyone’s hand carved item turned out. The course made us feel competent in just one session. I’d highly recommend this course to anyone that’s interested in hand carving timber or creating something beautiful.”
“Had such a wonderful time. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but was so impressed. The teachers were excellent - they were more than happy to share their knowledge. Each person in the class made something unique and different. I am very pleased with my spoon and intend on learning more about wood carving in future.
Enjoyed chatting with the other people doing the class at the same time.
Great location.”
“This was such a wonderful experience! I wasn’t able to get up the stairs to the class but Catie made sure I was still able to participate. I worked 1 on 1 with Jess downstairs who was kind and lots of fun!
Very happy to walk out with an adorable wombat!”
