The class was fantastic as a couple we cooked together, made new dishes we hadn’t before and enjoyed all the food. The demonstrations were clear and I’m looking forward to trying the complete recipes at home. The clean up crew were flawless.

Very well organised session, with a good choice of recipes. The timing was well managed so we never seemed either rushed or bored, and we were able to enjoy the dishes we made, as well as put some aside to take home. There was plenty of room in the venue, and the teacher made us all feel welcome. In fact, I could not fault this class!

I recently took a Japanese cooking class with Chef Dylan and had an amazing experience from start to finish. Dylan was a fantastic teacher — patient, clear, and genuinely passionate about Japanese cuisine. He shared a lot of knowledge about each dish and answered all the questions asked by the group, which made the class feel engaging and informative. We made sushi, miso soup, okonomiyaki, and soba with tempura. Each dish was hands-on, and I loved that Dylan taught tips and techniques you wouldn’t normally get from a recipe. My favourite part was learning how to roll sushi properly — it was surprisingly beginner-friendly with his guidance. The class also included free drinks, and I really enjoyed the wine. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend Chef Dylan’s class to anyone wanting to learn Japanese cooking in a fun, relaxed, and welcoming environment.

Japanese cooking was a lot of fun. Dylan was a very patient teacher and gave very clear instructions, including many tips (e.g. keep the fingers wet when making sushi). Everything was delicious!
