“My son-in-law and I both enjoyed the course: the teacher and her assistant were knowledgeable and entertaining and our cooking experience was a lot of fun. We would rank it 5 stars. What detracted from our experience was finding the course location. The email we received stated the address as 25 Bank Street, based on other Bank Street address numbers (and Whereis) this located the location towards the western end. Incorrect! When we did decided to head to the Fish Market the place was basically deserted and the Seafood School signage was not obvious to us. We finally found a helpful person who showed us where it was located. We had come by Light Rail and fortunately had plenty of time but it was frustrating.
I have raised the signage issue with The Seafood School but they informed me that the email was ClassBento responsibity. Please provide better location instructions, including a detaile map, on your email.”
“The class was unique and so much fun. We learnt new techniques (how to clean and prepare an octopus) and ingredients and flavours of korean cuisine. Teachers were wonderful and we had a lovely time”
“Lovely evening out and I enjoyed sitting down at the end eating our creations as a formal dinner. The seafood was excellent (as expected I guess!) and the instructors were personable and very knowledgeable about seafood and food prep. The most practical thing I learned was how to divine a prawn without cutting the back open, and the dish I most enjoyed was the raw fish dish. Flavours were excellent and dishes simple to prepare. I'll attend another one sometime soon :)”
