My husband and I had such an amazing time at this class. Alma is so experienced and patient, she really helps you achieve the outcomes you want which gives you the freedom to play around! Will definitely want to do another class soon and would recommend this to anyone who wants to pick up a new hobby/skill!

One of my favourite classes! I have done heaps of class bento workshops and wanted to try something new and working with wood is really unique because depending on the wood you choose you will have a different experience! Also hand wood carving therapeutic

Alma was an excellent teacher, full of knowledge about different types of wood and carving techniques. She was very attentive throughout the class and ensured everyone went home with something great. I'd definitely recommend the class and am keen to do more.

I attended a wood-carving workshop with Alma in North Coburg today, and it was a fantastic experience. I went with a friend, and we both found the session incredibly engaging and well-structured. Alma is exceptionally knowledgeable. She started by offering us a variety of wood cuts, taking the time to explain the characteristics of each—including how they carve, whether they are Australian natives, and the story behind how she sourced them. Safety was a priority, and she demonstrated proper techniques clearly, with all the necessary tools perfectly set up for our group of seven. The atmosphere was very relaxed, making it easy to lose yourself in the process from 10am to 2pm. We had several options for our bowl project, and the end-to-end process was very satisfying; we carved, sanded, and then chose from three different food-grade oils, with Alma explaining the benefits of each. It was very beginner-friendly, and even as a novice, I felt supported throughout. Even though my first attempt isn't a masterpiece, the process was so rewarding and I’m proud of what I learned. I highly recommend this workshop for anyone looking to learn a new skill in a calm, creative environment. Thank you, Alma!

Relaxed, fun, and really rewarding. This class was a great time and I walked away with an awesome wee bowl. Would happily recommend. Make sure to wear clothes you are happy to get dirty.

It was so much fun and I actually have a lovely bowl from it. Thought I’d make a mess of it but the teacher was great. Super helpful and really nice.
