We booked in for the beginner knife making course and couldn’t be happier with the experience that Ron provided.
We started with a block of steel and walked away with 2 functional knives and leather sheaths. Ron immediately puts you at ease and is incredibly knowledgable and skilled at explaining and demonstrating the skills required in knife making. From heating the steel, to shaping it on the anvil, rough grinding, heat treating and final finishing, Ron is able to walk you through each step and adjust his teaching methods to you. I was after guidance and assistance and Ron walked me through it every step of the way. My partner was happy to listen to the instructions and work independently and Ron was able to take a hands off approach, supervising and stepping in only when required.
Overall no matter what your learning style or skill level, Ron’s knife making course is the perfect starting point to jump into blade smithing. Could not recommend this course more !”
