What a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon. This workshop was a Xmas gift from my Son while visiting. Our teacher was fantastic with lots of caring assistance and loads of help in the basic techniques of building and painting my piece. My only complaint is that the hard stools to sit on were very uncomfortable for my bad back. I am not so young anymore and I need a chair with a back and a little cushioning. 2 hours was more than enough time to complete my project ready for firing.

The class was fun, Mel our instructor gave clear instructions and was always available to help us if we had questions or needed help with a tricky skill or to customise a paint colour. We were celebrating my birthday we had booked a private class 13 of us in our group :) We were able to bring food and drinks.

The pottery workshop was mostly really nice, it was a good set up and they had everything we needed. I would say, I do feel like they could have guided us a little bit more, we basically just had a quick five minute talk at the beginning and then you just go for it, they did walk around but it kinda felt awkward asking them for Assistance. They didn’t seem that open to helping and had a few classes at the same time so were often juggling between tables. I also feel, from the image and as the workshop is for dinnerware you’d expect to be able to make dinnerware but it was barely enough to make a side plate let alone a dinner plate, Which I do feel was misleading. This is a little bit nitpicky now, but the botanicals that they used didn’t have the best meaning to create a good print and someone just weeds that were quiet limp… I really wanted to like but I do feel the overall experience could be improved.

Vivian was truly lovely and gentle with her explanations. The venue was very cold with the roller door open for light and no heating in the middle of winter.

This class was very enjoyable. The instructor was excellent explaining clearly and helping when needed. It made an fantastic gift and my two daughter-in-laws really enjoyed the class. We weer all very happy with the dishes we made and can't wait to pick them up. I would highly recomment this class to everyone

Very enjoyable activity particularly on a rainy day (bring a jumper though in Winter as the studio is cold)! Very easy to purchase as a gift and claim later (3 years expiry). Great activity for any age or skill level. Friendly and helpful teachers. Thanks SGC!

Our teacher Ju was very helpful during the Botanical Handmade Dinnerware workshop, giving us a demonstration at the beginning and guiding us throughout. I was happy with my plate.
