“This was really a great and comprehensive course, and I learnt so much on only 6 lessons. We had the opportunity to learn lead came or copper foil methods, and I was able to learn the fundamentals of both techniques, completing one piece and almost finishing my second. Clive taught all the basic steps but also gave tips on things like designing pieces that will work and glass suppliers, which really helped me feel confident to continue creating at home. He also had colleagues step in and support so we always had someone available to help, and he took steps to make sure everyone could finish their pieces, either by helping out or offering for them to come in again after the course finished.
I highly recommend this class for anyone interesting in learning all the steps from taking a design to a finished glass piece. I’ll also caution anyone considering the class to prepare to spend a bit more over the weeks as you get tools, glass, supplies, etc. Clive was able to source everything I needed from his supplier, which made it easier, but you’ll probably spend a few hundred during the class (depending on the glass you want to use and whether you have access to tools already).”

Tips:
-Have a good idea of what you want to make before the course starts, because 6 weeks goes really quickly. You want to make the most of that time and have a completed piece by the end.
- start looking at what art glass is available so you get an idea of patterns and textures for your project…and how much it’s going to cost you. (You’ll have to buy some tools, equipment and glass based one the piece you want to create)”
