“absolutely best place to do a cocktail mixing course, lovely location and a very well knowledged teacher who went above and beyond teaching us
highly recommened!”
“Our experience was okay but not great. We booked this as part of our company Christmas Party and upon booking they advertise the masterclass to be set up along the long white marble bar, Mocktail options available (we had one non-alc staff) and that our cocktail selection could be customisable.
When we arrived, instead of being at the bar, we were sat up the back on multiple tables separating the team, this isn’t a massive issue, but it would have been nice to be informed prior or upon booking that we may be set up the back and split up. I immediately informed the mixologist that we had 1 person that will make mocktails and she was quite confused and unsure if they offered mocktails. I then went to the manager to reiterate we need 1 set of the mocktail option, and they will get this organised. They never got this organised and the rest of our team had already made their first cocktail and still no mocktail option to be seen. I had to then go back to another manager and let them know the situation, to their credit, they were apologetic and immediately organised the ingredients for the mocktails. They advertised she could make 3 like the rest of us but she only got 2 drinks in the end (and she was still charged $75 for her spot). They also implied in the advertising of this class, cocktails were customisable and they recommend a set of 3 for beginners. So, we thought when we arrived, we would look at the cocktail menu and unanimously select 3 cocktails to make.
But when we arrived, they already had set up ingredients for the recommended beginners’ cocktails. These cocktails were still nice, the 3 cocktails we made were: Espresso Martini, Negroni & a Lavender Sour. The last one was by far the most interesting and for $75 a person, I think they can do better than supply bottom shelf Gordon’s Gin for the Negroni and Smirnoff Vodka for the espresso martini.
The overall feedback would be to have more organised staff, re-think and re-write what you advertise online about the class because the advert implied, we have the option to select a cocktail of our choice, and we didn’t get to choose. The venue was nice, but it was such a hassle trying to get staff to provide mocktails, I don’t think they should list it as an option, or maybe create a section in the booking process to notify we need mocktails, so the staff are more prepared.”
“This was the best class I could have possibly taken. Lily and Esteban taught us an array of cocktails and how each ingredient creates the unique flavor profile. My best friend and I left feeling so special and catered to. It is totally worth your money as we had about 5 drinks each. If you’re going to book a class book this one, it is unforgettable!!”
