“The Wood Burning Workshop was so much fun. The teacher was excellent in her ability to show us what to do and advise us on what not to do. She made it clear how to work the soldering tools and keep ourselves safe from being burnt or burning each other. She gave us plenty of template options for things to burn onto our wood as well as different board strengths and colours to choose from. Throughout the class she came around and gave each person tips on how to shade their choice of pattern and ways of enhancing the look of it by the end. I'm super impressed with the result and was blown away by how impressive you can make it look in just one session. The only two things that I would change about the class was the music level as the others within the group found it up and down with how loud it was, so I think I soft gentle volume that doesn't change after the teacher finishes speaking would have been better. The most crucial one was the seats, the seat height and the table height. For work like this you really want to see what you're doing so a certain level of being hunched is going to happen. Sadly with tall stools and a desk height that's waist level, it was SUPER uncomfortable within an hour of doing it. The session lasts for 3 hours but my body just couldn't take it and we had to stop early because my back was in so much pain. By the time I got home it was agony. If there's any way of having chairs that you can adjust their height, I think many individuals would find that really, really helpful for their enjoyment of the whole experience.”
