I gifted this to my Grandmother for her 93rd birthday. My Mum, Grandmother, and I attended the session, and all made our own perfume; it was truly amazing, relaxing, and fun. Especially for people who aren't naturally creative! We have not stopped telling people what a great day we had. We had a personalised session; Luana is very knowledgeable, helpful, and very kind. I can't recommend this highly enough. Thank you so much.

I had such a great time at this perfume-making class! Luana was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and so easy to get along with. It was just me and a friend in the session, which meant we had plenty of time to ask questions, get guidance, and really personalise our fragrances while properly understanding the whole process. There were so many options to customise the scent — experimenting with different base, heart, and top notes made it really enjoyable to find something that suited me perfectly. The workspace was also absolutely immaculate: perfectly organised, welcoming, and such a lovely environment to create in. It was 100% worth it, such a great day, and I would definitely do it again!

Working out a personalised perfume was great fun! I learnt a lot about base, heart and top notes and it was interesting to smell what appealed and what didn’t. All done in a relaxing space with a knowledgeable and lovely perfumer. Given to me as a present I am now thinking that this class will be Christmas presents for some family members.

I cannot believe this workshop doesn't have more reviews! I’ve been shopping around for an introductory bespoke perfume-making class for ages. I even met with a few of the more “high end” perfumers, but they either only offered group workshops, were a bit dismissive, or just assumed that if you were booking in, you already had a basic understanding of how it all works. I didn’t. I wanted to find someone I felt comfortable enough with to ask all the stupid questions, and to come away with a scent that actually felt different—not just a slightly tweaked version of something I could already buy at David Jones. I had a very vague vibe in mind and basically no real guidance beyond that. From the get-go, Luana was lovely. Her house/office is beautiful, the room the workshop takes place in is elegant, warm, and smells incredible. She sources some genuinely gorgeous, high-quality oils—both combined notes and singular ones (which I didn’t even know was a thing, but now I do!). There was a little charcuterie board, drinks, and the whole atmosphere was just incredibly inviting and relaxed. I kind of just word-vomited everything I was after—brought in a candle I liked and vaguely waved it around—and Luana took it all in without blinking. She walked me through the basics: how something that we might describe simply as “rose” or “amber” is actually a careful combo of other notes, and how those top/mid/base layers work together. Then came the fun part. I got to smell over 30 different notes, narrowing down which ones I liked while Luana helped guide me towards combos that actually made sense. But what I really appreciated was that she didn’t just sit there mixing things herself while I watched—she handed me the droppers, showed me how to use everything, and let me play around with different combinations. I got to experiment with layering different top, mid, and base notes, and together we refined them into a few really promising blends. Then, at the end, we combined my favourites into a kind of “mystery” final scent. The perfume I ended up with is far more layered and nuanced than anything I own, which is exactly what I was after. I’m fairly picky (I don’t do blind buys, and I find most mainstream perfumes a bit flat because they’re built to appeal to as many people as possible), but this was the first time I smelled something on my own skin and went: woah that's cool. I drove home sniffing myself enthusiastically and probably startled a few people at traffic lights. Luana herself is so knowledgeable, charismatic, and easy to be around. This probably reads like I’m a friend writing a review, but I swear I’m not, I just genuinely had a great experience and wanted to leave something helpful for other people who are hovering over the “book” button and unsure because of the lack of reviews. Seriously. Treat yourself. My one suggestion? Come in with an open mind. If you want her to replicate a discontinued perfume or something, she might get close—but keep in mind that big-name brands can spend months or years refining their formulas. Instead, bring a direction, or even just a rough feeling or scent profile you like, and let Luana do her thing. You’ll end up with something far more personal than whatever you could buy off a shelf. 5/5. Would absolutely do again. P.S. She has a pug called Bug, who is not only adorable but is also the official mascot of her very own pet perfume line. If you're lucky, you may get to pet the perfect baby angel at the end of the booking.

I did a fabulous perfume making class with Luana last week. I went in thinking that it would be a group of 10 people (don’t know why I thought that!), and it turned out to just be me! It made the experience all the more personal and involved, which was great! Luana is very warm and knowledgeable about perfume and works with you to make something that you love! She makes it look easy – all you have to do is decide what you think smells good! I brought along a perfume that I love but is now discontinued, and Luana was able to help recreate it for me – it might even be better! I’m so excited to start wearing it all the time, knowing that no one else has it but me! Signature scent!! The class includes some delightfully curated snacks and treats, delicious coffee and best of all, a nice big bottle of your perfume to take home (I think it is like 150ml?). Luana even emails you the “recipe” for your perfume so that you have it for future use. In all, it was a super luxe experience with a skilled facilitator who puts you at ease. Will definitely return to make another scent!
