When I reached out to ask why this class was no longer on the Class Bento website, I was told that they no longer offered it but, incredibly, they offered to run it one more time for my blacksmithing-obsessed son.
I ended up sending my husband and son and they had an incredible afternoon (so lucky with the weather too given how hot it likely would have been on a classic summer day). The teacher, Rohan, was a wonderful and generous teacher, walking them through the basic techniques and allowing them to each make an item even though initially it was meant to be one per team.
The vibe was great and the experience will not soon be forgotten. Not least because we will surely be toasting marshmallows on these forks for decades to come. My son is already campaigning me to get him a forge, perhaps this is the beginning of a lifelong passion...”
