“Got the experience of breaking ‘mother of pearls’ into tiny pieces. The instructions were very straightforward. A small table lamp was provided for additional lighting which made sticking on the smashed pieces a lot easier! Assembling the pieces onto my brooch required lots of patience, but all was worth it in the end! Was offered and given tea to keep hydrated throughout the long time I spent making it.”
“We weren’t expected and nothing was prepared . The “teacher” knew how to do it but was poor with her communication . We were left to do it our selves with only a simple explanation on the task . Only a few designs were available and was told we had to do a brooch . We asked for a drink and she said we had to buy from her . There was no food provided or available . lighting was poor and we struggled . When we asked if she had a lamp she provided us with one .
Overall an average class but made a beautiful brooch .”
“The teacher was very helpful and told us everything we needed to know, they seemed more than happy to assist us un any way.
We got to pick a peice of jewelry (there were brooches, hair stick/pins, and a bracelet to pick from) to fill in with mother of pearl peices that we break into peices ourselves. It was frustrating sometimes to try and fit small pieces into small areas, but a good activity to slow yourself down and really focus :)”
“It's a pretty beginner friendly, straightforward class so we didn't need that much input from our teacher. My advice to people who have reading glasses, you'll need it.”
