“This “workshop” needs a LOT of improvement, there were virtually no tips, tricks or suggestions provided other than basic instructions on how to create our desired object and “don’t use too much water” and “smooth over cracks don’t press them” but the “instructor” was so quick to want to take over and do it herself which defeats the purpose, we wanted to make it ourselves and learn not have it made for us. There were no creative suggestions on things we could make, the 3 examples on the table were all terrible and didn’t even depict an accurate sized mug for the amount of clay we had. There was a 5 minute speech about the importance of washing and bringing the brush back when the sink was literally behind the instructor.. for 100 dollars each maybe you can wash the brushes yourselves? And for 100 dollars it didn’t even go for the whole hour, it was 45 minutes max. There was also not a clean hand towel or paper towels to dry my hands on? I was told to dry them on my dirty apron that was covered in clay? After pointing that out I was offered a wet wipe so was forced to dry my hands on my jeans. I think I would have been able to make something more impressive by buying my own clay and watching a YouTube tutorial. Lastly - asking customers to rate the experience in front of the instructor is so uncomfortable and inappropriate and will not yield accurate answers and therefore no improvements can be made.”
“We had Ada as our teacher and we had a great time!! She was patient in teaching us and we learnt a lot about hand holding clay. Thank you for the great experience!”
