“Shlomit’s whittling workshop is a must do for anyone wanting to learn or enhance skills for carving wood. Shlomit is a wonderful teacher and encourages participants to let go of their internal critic and allow their creativity to flow. This workshop covered all the basics; knife safety, carving techniques, types of wood, structure of timber, understanding grain, transferring an image from 2D to working a carving in 3D, finishing techniques, knife sharpening, and most importantly to trust the process and have fun.
