“We booked a gold ring making class for the Friday before Valentine’s Day to celebrate. We purchased the addition of a charcuterie board which was cancelled a few days prior, with no explanation. When we arrived, the staff had no idea about our booking and were clearly confused and scrambling. The jeweller who was meant to run the class didn’t even know it was scheduled and didn’t show up. Jen offered to reschedule our booking for a later date when he was available, but since this was our planned Valentine’s activity, we decided to continue with the class. Jem, did a good job with what she had, she was knowledgeable but due to the mix up, unprepared. Aside from offering to reschedule, no other rectification was provided. There was a wood whittling class happening right next to us, which made the experience feel less about the craft and more about filling the space.
The lettering stamps we included in our rings were 2.5mm in height, which only allowed for half a mm of leeway on the 3mm ring. This affected the outcome of the design.
If our booking hadn’t been missed, the charcuterie hadn’t been cancelled, the space had been set up, they teacher had come, the space was more private, and a discount offered, this would be a different review.
However for $1000, this experience fell far short of expectations has left a lot to be desired.”
