“Best experience ever! Highly recommend! Its perfect for a cute date with partner and friends, the instructor was sooo friendly and helpful. Definitely will come back for more artistic experiences, thank you so much for this!”
“My girlfriend and I went to the wheel-throwing class as complete beginners. It took us the whole class to understand the basic techniques... but we got there!- and she's in love with her little pot.
The instructor knew all of the steps to walk us through, and was very patient as we learnt. He even let us stay for 3 hours to finish our designs until we were satisfied!
I would recommend this class as a special gift or if you're just looking for something fun to do.”
“I went for a Dad/daughter date with my 12 year old. We both really enjoyed it, and we can't wait to pick up our finished products when they're ready.
We'll be coming back to make something else another day.”
“Nicole was a wonderful guide through the world of pottery! She guided us through the wheel throwing process making it clear what we needed to do. When we struggled she helped us to continue and we both made lovely pots. I'm really glad how it turned out! The class was friendly and accommodating of all skill levels. Would 100% recommend!”
“We attended the wheel throwing pottery class for date night. Instructor was pleasant and certainly talented when it comes to pottery throwing. I know lots of reviews are saying the same thing, but wanted to give a honest feedback. Sorry it’s a bit long.
When entering the room, we were shown where to sit. We were the only ones there. He did a demonstration making a bowl then set up our wheels with clay to start. Two other people came in the studio to do hand making pottery and he asked them kindly to wait until he finished his demonstration with us. We started working with our clay. It was my husband’s first time but he was enjoying working with the clay. The instructor went to my husband, and I’m not clear if he asked first, but took over working with my husband’s clay for a moment but husband said he was happy for the help so didn’t mind.
Next he went to my clay and said “let me”. He began to work my clay and I asked “I’m happy to do it”. He stopped and I continued. I wasn’t happy for him to take over.
My husband needed a second batch of clay and the instructor was happy to give him new clay. My husband was still struggling, but the instructor was kind and understanding. We finished our bowls. We dried our bowls with hairdryers.
He took our bowls off the wheels and placed on boards ready to paint. He showed how to attach decorations on our bowls and were given extra clay. After a few minutes husband and I decided we didn’t want to make decorations. We painted our bowls and were finished. It was still early, still had 30min of session but we’re ok with finishing.
I asked how we get our finished items back after firing and be said “if you give us a 5 star review, we will post them to you”.
I’m happy to give a 5 star review but wanted to ensure it was an honest and balanced account of the evening.
I felt it was cold and functional and lacking in warmth and atmosphere. If you come to make a bowl/cup, then that’s what will happen. If you come for atmosphere, laughter and a warm chatty instructor then unfortunately that’s not what we had. You’ll have to bring it yourself.
I don’t mean to sound negative, but I believe reviews are an opportunity to learn about our customer expectations and to build rapport and connection.”
