“The teacher was very calm , patient and understanding, Not only did she have an in depth knowledge of Kintsugi and its off shoots , she also had practical skills as well which made the entire expereince memorable”
“Really enjoyed the class. Our tutor was knowledgeable about the historic art form as well as the modern version you work on in class. They make you a coffee and then take you through all the necessary steps. You can bring your own broken crockery but there are plenty of bowls provided for you to break, then take home. The piece you put back together isn’t food safe but can be used as a decorative piece, key bowl, fruit bowl etc. One thing to note is the epoxy adhesive has a very strong unpleasant smell”
“We had the best time in this workshop - we booked it in for our anniversary and loved every second of it. We were made to feel extremely welcomed and looked after while we were here and Rashmi was amazing at walking us through the process. We cannot thank her enough and will definitely be back to do more workshops with her in the future.”
“We had a great time at the Kintsugi class. We felt welcomed by the teacher and her partner, too. The class felt very supportive and comfortable for us to ask questions and really get involved in making the Kintsugi. We had coffee on arrival, were introduced to the history of Kintsugi then were able to break the items before beginning to repair it. Some people had an item of importance to repair, too. The class was scheduled for 2 hours but we were there about 3 - we didn't feel rushed out, and were able to take home the finished items and a new passion for Kintsugi. We would recommend this to anyone.”
