“Last night a group of us were treated to a very special cooking and eating experience with the lovely Julie and what a treat it was. We were shown how to use different spices to enhance taste and tips on making something very simple to look wonderful. We enjoyed listening to Julie's love of cooking her families tradional recipes and how she has made them her own. We were hands on and all ears and then once it was ready we enjoyed sitting around eating and talking. Thoroughly enjoyable and thoroughly recommended.”
“Our Mezze class was awesome! Julie is an expert cook and a generous, fun host. It was very special to cook in Julie's pretty home kitchen using fresh produce, and herbs from her garden. We learnt several recipes and Julie shared her techniques and tips to streamline the preparation and cooking time and effort. As we chopped, and enjoyed the beautiful tasting board prepared for us, Julie shared the cultural history of the dishes and ingredients with us. We ate our scrumptious feast together and left enriched with knowledge, laughter and yummy samples. “We had the most wonderful class and evening. Not only did Julie teach us how easy it is to make mezze but we learned about the culture as well and the best places to buy the ingredients that she uses. I particularly liked that we then all sat around her table and had dinner together, it made the whole experience feel far more authentic. Mezze is simple, rustic and totally delicious, the sort of good you will make again and again. There was plenty of hands on but not so much that you couldn't watch and learn too. Highly recommend. A really great idea for a group of friends. (You also receive recipe cards for what you made).”
