Mindful Art Kintsugi at Home Reviews

5 Rating 12 Reviews
The workshop was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about and experience the beautiful art of Kinstugi. The workshop was the perfect legnth of time to work through the practice and we learned so much along the way from Yoko. Yoko's depth of knowledge of this ancient art made us appreciate and understand it far more than we had prior to the workshop. Yoko was friendly, patient and explained and demonstrated every step precisely which made it surpprisingly easy to follow on Zoom and gave us the confidence to complete each step properly. Highly recommend this workshop and Yoko :)

Yoko is an incredible teacher, sent me a kit with top quality materials that covered everything I needed during the class. Her detailed explanations, and historical background of the art form in Japan ware very interesting to learn about. The class was a mindful experience and helped me unwind after a stressful week, plus taught me a new skill to mend broken pottery. I highly recommend this class.

Yoko was incredibly knowledgeable and skillful and patient! We learnt the original and modern way of kintsugi and some interesting history of how this practice started about 500-600 years ago. What I loved most about this class is that everything is provided and posted to you ready for the zoom and it is a very methodical and practical activity(and Yoko is just so lovely!) but at the end you can add in some artistic flare where you’d like the gold to finally sit. I would highly recommend this class! I can’t wait to see the final result after 5 days of drying time! Nat

I loved my Mindful Art Kintsugi class with Yoko. She is an exceptional teacher and delves into the history of the art while teaching techniques. It was such a joy and the four hours flew by. This was a gift, was easy to redeem and fits in perfectly with my pottery

I was so thrilled with this beautiful Kintsugi class led by Yoko. It was so well prepared, from the welcome kit, to the clear and welcoming communication leading up to the course. The course was gifted to me by my partner, so I had no idea what to expect. Over the 4hours, Yoko taught me about the history of Kintsugi, its cultural significance and the way it is evolving. All the while she let me through step by step to the completion of my first piece. I feel buoyed up by the whole course and ready to explore my own Kintsugi projects.

Loved this online class with Yoko that I did today! She explained and showed all the different steps, and the background to Kintsugi so well - giving me the confidence to continue on my own. The box with all the tools and material that had been sent to me, was really thought through, I even have enough material for several pieces. I have spent the rest of the afternoon doing Kintsugi and really enjoying the process. Many thanks, Sara

Yoko has excellent teaching skills that she used effectively for this online class. Although I expect that face to face classes would be even better, tis is a good option for people who can’t make it to the studio!
