“Guy was excellent. Explained photography "jargon" and assisted/found features in my camera in a heartbeat. Taking pics around the cbd was great. Im looking at world rather than just seeing it. Inspired to get busy with my photography.”
“Guy was a very knowledgeable and patient teacher and spent time with each of us and our individual camera settings. My group was very new to photography and we were all not familiar with the camera settings, but Guy made it simple and easy to understand. Walking around the city with different photography tasks helped us put our theory into practice. It was interesting comparing photos we all took within the group as everyone's creativity is different. Would highly recommend the beginners course!”
“My gift card was put to very good use in this class. Guy is a highly experienced photographer and teacher and made an effort to consider each of our individual needs in the class. He effectively condensed the incomprehensible 900 page manual that came with my new camera to a couple of pages of notes and five fundamental steps to consider and practise. Some of us asked more questions than others, but Guy was patient and good humoured with everyone. After a thoughtful explanation about things we need to know about cameras (and the five processes that matter to picture-taking), we went around the city taking photos to illustrate various aspects of the information he had provided.
I recommend you don't be late, take a snack and get ready for a rewarding education. I can't wait to put all his advice into practice. Thank you Guy.”
“Our instructor Guy was very knowledgeable and shared his knowledge in a manner easy to understand. We walked around Melbourne city and took photos at various points. We viewed each other’s photos, discussed and got great advice from Guy. Very enjoyable and improved photography skills.”
“Great class, manual mode demystifyied! Guy gave us a logical approach to work through the settings and come up with the right setup. This is then reinforced by lots of photo taking and comparing results.”
