“We did this activity as a family of 4, with kids aged 6 and 9. It was a very fun class! Wheel throwing is definitely more challenging than I expected, and we were all keen to give it a go again. The class was well-organised, the teacher engaged and offering constant supervision and assistance. If anything, I would recommend kids be slightly older than 6 when trying this out. The pedal is too far to reach (although doesn't matter much once the wheel gets going), and because of the size of the wheel it was hard for the younger one to reach. I would also like the class to be perhaps half an hour longer - gives you more time to explore, make mistakes, and then still be able to create a piece to keep. Definitely would recommend this!”
“Our teacher, Lucy, was great as was the class. My daughter and I had a great time and could have stayed for much longer. Good size group for this type of class too.”
“Lovely way to spend an afternoon as a family.
Learnt a little bit about pottery and using the wheel.
The teacher was fantastic, put us at ease and made our first introduction to pottery a happy one and inspired us to want to do more!”
“I didn't think this would be so much fun. Really enjoyed it, working with clay and being creative. Bree made it more fun aswell. 2.5 - 3hrs would be better. Looking forward to another class”
