“We had so much fun at our Paper Marbling Class! I think everyone was surprised how much they enjoyed it- some have even bought the supplies to do it on their own. Thank you!”
“Bought the class as a birthday gift for my friend. We met our instructor Leah. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the paper marbling art form. We learned how passionate she is about art. She gave a brief history of the art form we were doing: suminagashi or Japanese paper marbling. The class was for six people but Leah learned she has two additional participants. She gave us instructions on how to do suminagashi then quickly provided supplies to the additional attendees. Leah told us about another way to do paper marbling. Someone asked if she was planning a class so they can attend. Leah stated it was in the works; she is still working on the logistics. Leah explained there was no "right" way and to just have fun. Suminagashi is an abstract art. For us to just go with the flow and enjoy the process. She encouraged us to try all the techniques she showed us to move the ink in the water to create patterns. I would definitely attend another class offered by Leah. I had a lot of fun. I was able to make a few more pieces of art as Leah provided us with extra paper.”
“I loved this class! The process of creating the art was so calming and meditative. The instructor was so kind and helpful. She explained the process clearly and concisely. I felt like I was encouraged to explore and experiment within the parameters of the art form which was really fun. I will definitely be back at CRAFT for more art projects!”
