“The class was really great! Extremely thorough and immersive instruction.
Patrick was our teacher for this one, and he made the experience such a hugely positive one. He was so supportive, encouraging, and knowledgeable througout the entire process. I was taking quite a bit longer to make my knife than everyone else, and because our class size that day was pretty small (3 people), he was super cool about letting me stay quite a bit later to finish it so I could leave with a result I was happy with. Celeste was also there working on some things, and was really sweet. It was neat to be able to watch her work and see how she manipulates the metal!
Would absolutely recommend this class to anyone with any curiosity about knife making.”
“This class was the best. The instructor, Celeste, is a subject matter expert and excellent at knowledge transfer (explanations, demos, assistance, making it fun). I was brought to the class by a friend as a holiday gift.
I am a knife collector and user and had such a great time learning about the blacksmithing process and then doing the project.
The project was broken down into very manageable steps and help was always so easy to get. Using the tools (hammer, anvil, tongs) and heating the iron in the furnace was so fun and satisfying.
Very safe from the begining of class to the very end.
I now have a knife that will last as a reminder of the day, of friendship, mentorship, and trusting the creative process.”
