“The instructor was split between two different workshops that were happening at the studio at the same time which meant that our lamp making class didn’t get as much instruction and attention as it probably should have. I don’t blame the instructor at all, she did the best she could! But the owner should reconsider if having the same instructor lead two different craft classes that were both very busy for a Saturday morning, at the same time is a good way to provide students with a memorable and worthwhile experience. There were limited colors for the mosaic glass and beads and not all of the basic colors that were shown on the examples around the classroom were available.
Overall a decent experience but requires better organization if they want it to be a 5 star class.”
“Our instructor was very helpful, she showed us a quick tutorial and came in to check on us frequently. The lamp making process was quite easy to understand and it was really fun! Recommend for anyone looking to spruce up their lighting options at home.”
“Super fun class! Even our friend who doesn’t usually enjoy arts and crafts experiences admitted it was fun.
It was the right balance of learning and having fun!”
“Six of us came for the Turkish mosaic lamp workshop as a team building activity in San Francisco. We were greeted warmly and offered Turkish tea to start what would be two hours of relaxing, freeform creativity. Our instructor offered guidance and encouragement when asked, but each of us were otherwise set loose on our own artistic adventure.”
“Such a gratifying experience making your own Turkish mosaic lamp! It was the perfect afternoon date activity. I would totally come back for a girls night. The staff was hospitable and brewed us some Turkish tea. Loved that we could leave the studio with our very own turkish lamp :)”
“Really lovely workshop! The owner Kadir and the other host were both super welcoming, made Turkish tea/coffee and gave us some sweets. I did the mosaic lamp class- tons of glass and bead options, and there’s a good blend of instruction and time to yourself to focus and finish your project.”
