“The concept was good but I think for veterans this wasn’t good.
1. The recipe did not list the stuff we needed from our house - butter, water, milk, eggs.
2. The instructor did not follow the recipe that we had. For example, the snickerdoodles he started with step 2. So I added water to step 1. The water wasn’t on the recipe, so by the time I realized that he started with step 2 instead of one. We did not even get to finish the recipes because it was frustrating after him messing me up.
3. He was so fast! The beginning was the start of the anxiety. He wasn’t reading the recipe we had, and talking so fast. We all asked several times for him to slow down and he could not understand why.
4. Please get a mic that you can wear. The sound also made this miserable.”
“This is the first WWP class we have taken that was so frustrating!! We would not recommend this teacher for future classes. The kit was great and loved the provided ingredients as well as a glass and plate. The provided recipes card was great...until the class began! The teacher talked very fast and flew through the preparation, we were way behind and trying to keep up. We ended up doing many things wrong! The eggnog ended up being delicious even though we did things wrong. The cookies were a disaster! In beginning he clearly told us to use a 1/2 cup of water which we did (as did other couples). What he meant was butter, not water. We had not been told we needed butter and to have it softened for the recipe. Out of frustration we ended up adding all the ingredients to our cookie batter , including the ones that should have been in the icing. Our cookies were a sticky mess after baking and ended up in the trash. We will look up a recipe online and try again. During the class the other participants were saying the same things to the instructor... slow down, wait what.... We enjoyed the opportunity to participate and learning to make eggnog. Thank you for picking us, hope we can do this again one day with a different instructor.”
