“What a wonderful class. Chef Laura was so knowledgeable. There were people in our class with various skill and knowledge levels regarding baking and sour dough but she made everyone feel comfortable. I left feeling confident enough to try and make sour dough. Leaving with starter was immensely helpful because as a beginner, I feel like that’s the most daunting part! I would recommend this class to anyone. I went with my boyfriend and we both enjoyed it and learned so much. We’re excited to start experimenting with making sour dough!”
“Chef Laura was amazing! I really appreciated how articulate and detailed she was while talking/explaining the chemistry and process of sourdough. She was careful to make sure she answered all questions in full and in a way that made sense. The space was perfect, very clean, well lit and the parking was great. I really appreciated the generous offering of snacks and tea. Yummy snacks! My only wish is that it was more hands on. Other than making starter, it was a lot of time listening and observing. “I learned more about making sourdough in this class than I did in an entire month of reading on my own. Laura is a wealth of knowledge and an excellent teacher. Starting the class with a warm slice of her sourdough was such a treat!
Everyone went home with some of their own starter from her well-established culture, which was a wonderful bonus. I also appreciated the small class size—just 10 people—which made it easy to ask questions and have real conversations. Highly recommend!
