“I had a fabulous time at my Resin class. I ended up being the only participant that day but I felt very VIP! The instructor Clay was very welcoming, informative and made me feel right at ease from the beginning. We strategized on my project goals and I’m excited to see the finished product when I go pick it up this week. (That’s why my picture only shows my project still in the mold) Def recommend! You will pick up on the concept fast and then start having fun with your creativity and vision.”
“This resin class was so much fun! Clay explained everything and answered all our questions. His art is amazing. The resin has to set before you can pick up the pieces, so I haven’t seen the final product yet - but it looked like it came out exactly how I wanted. He gave us options on what to make between coasters, trays, jewelry boxes, skulls, canvas art, etc. Highly recommend!!”
“The Resin Arts and Crafts class was very enjoyable. Clay; the instructor; was very friendly and also very helpful in the selection of colors to use. He also displayed the types of projects available for the student to choose from. Projects like coasters of different shapes, shot glasses, even an 8x8 canvas. I selected the hexagonal coasters and the other three participants chose the 8x8 canvas.
Clay offered suggestions on how to mix colors to newer colors, different shaded different textures. How to mix regular dyes with phosphorent dyes and/or acrylic paints. Clay spent the beginning of the class talking to myself and the other participants on what their ideas may be, and then took time to help choose the proper colors to satisfy the expressed idea.
Clay also offered a suggestion on how to better determine the what the color would most likely appear by scooping some of the resin and dye/acrylic/powder and then letting it pour off the stick to determine shade of color.
Offered suggestions on how best to pour or drizzle using a stick the resins into the molds to get the best filling of the mold. And if I; or any participant; needed more resin to complete project Clay mixed the two components; resin and hardener; stirred the mix for the three (3) minutes required and then brought over.
At the end of the class, each participant had unused resin (colored) left over, Clay then offered smaller molds for each person to use, so as not to waste the mixed and colored resin. Offered the smaller molds at no additional cose.
I would definitely recommend to anyone interested in taking a class on creating with resin to take a class from Bowery Princes.”
“Had a great time! I have no artistic experience but Clay was so nice and encouraged us so much. Genuinely a great experience I’d recommend to anyone!”
