“This was a really fun class! We went to a great location in LIC, it is a buidling full of artist and makers which has such good energy for creating! The insctructor is so kind and really helped us think of what we wanted to make for our first hand building ceramics experience. The first step is to sketch out your design, then work with the clay to create the shape and build a piece from scratch using tecniques like scoring and smoothing. After your piece has been molded to your desired creation, there is time to paint a design/ pick a glaze for your final product and really add your own creative flare to your project even more! The teacher is really passionate about her work as she also designs jewlery out of ceramic material and we really enjoyed her company. I am really excited to see how our creations come out! Very fun and laid back overall expereice - thank you!!!”
