“This was okay. I thought the cost was too high for what it was which felt disappointing. With the price point I would have expected to learn a few more techniques. We learned how to ice a cake and put a border around it but that was it. I was expecting to have examples of how to do more technical things like flowers or a cute animal etc. but I don’t really feel like I learned that much. There could have been some example cakes or pictures of examples as well. I also feel like it’s better to say “snacks” instead of “appetizers” because that felt a little misleading…it was candy, cookies, madeleines and some salami/cheese on bread. I also got an automated email thanking me for attending before the class saying I made a beautiful cake which was weird and confusing- I recommend the teacher send that out one day later because I though she had me registered in the morning by accident instead of the afternoon.”
“I loved the teacher- all the supplies - the teaching and the fun we had.
I did give this 3 stars because it was my friends birthday and we wanted to do something fun and exciting with edible art. The knock off 1 star was the cake quality was not good. we were sad to throw our cute little art designs away. The second star was due to the price point on a cake that was in not edible. We just felt like at $150 we’d get a goodie treat to nosh on but this wasn’t the case.
So if you want to learn how to decorate and not care about the edible part then this class is a great way to learn how to decorate.”
“Fun class for beginners! The instructor Felipe was energetic and helpful, and the class has a good pace. There's a lot of creative freedom to mix your own colored buttercreams and try out different ways of piping. I went to their Instagram account and picked a date where the cake was heart-shaped, since it didn't have such details on ClassBento.
Although you don't want to wear nice clothes, the space is pretty and great for taking photos of you and your cake (and friends if you come together), so I wore a cute top. I also pre-ate a light dinner for the 6-8 pm class and treated the snacks (mostly sweets) and drinks as my dessert course. You get to take home the cake you decorate in, and that was easy with the nice clear box and ribbon packaging.
My only critique was that the cake itself lacked flavor and had an occasionaly hard crumble. I picked chocolate (out of vanilla, red velvet). Being biased towards Asian desserts and chantilly cakes, I did love that the buttercream and cake weren't too sweet. So overall, it was a blast!”
“Olesia was amazing! She was patient and very talented. We did this activity for my sister’s bridal shower and everybody loved it! We even brought our 9 year old cousin and she had an amazing time! She was very prompt during inquiry, booking, and at the day of the event. And she’s so flexible and nice, we had some last minute cancellations in our party so we ended up bringing other guests to take their spot, but Olesia made them feel included by quickly updating their personalized place cards. Everything was perfect (the tools, the cake, the appetizers, mimosasy, and even the room decor)! Thank you so much, Olesia!! Looking forward to doing another class with you!”
“Super fun! I found this class for my sisters birthday and it was sooo worth it! We got to choose from treats at the beginning of class, got cute aprons to wear, and got so much time to customize our cakes. 10/10 highly recommend.”
“Fun relaxed class. Teacher was nice and explained things clearly. The enviroment was very welcoming and is a great class for everyone of every skill level.”
“My teacher was amazing, it was her first class and I couldn’t even tell. She was extremely helpful and kind, gave us examples of what we should be doing and was always ready to support us if needed. We decorated cake and my favorite part was icing my cake! I had a wonderful time!”
