“The Vegan Candle Making with Reused Wine Bottles Class was extremely enjoyable.
Gina; the instructor; was very personable and friendly. I enjoyed my time with her.
Class began with selecting a container that had been cut from a wine bottle. Next step sandpapering the container to ensure no burrs and stuff. After cleansing with alcohol, we instructed on how to attach wich; choice of wood or waxed thread. Remainder of class was selecting the fragrance or fragences desired (GIna then used a formula to determine how many drops of fragrance should be used to act as a top, middle and base. After the determination, each person used the recommended number of drops into a stainless pouring jar. Then a selection of dyes; powdered and liquid; and solid items such as rosehip; eucalyptus, hibiscus and similar were available if desired to add. Finally, 8 oz of soy and beeswax; Gina's prefered wax offering; was poured on the fragrance(s) and other ingredientsin the stainless steel jar. After mixing, the wax was poured into your container, continuing to mix as pouring. Then the newly poured candle was set aside to cool.
Each student was requested to bring an empty wine bottle; to replenish used supply; and then after done with candle was demostrated on how to cut the bottle into a rough container for the next class.
Again, I thoroughly enjoyed the class and look forward to taking other classed with Gina.”
