Kokedama Ball Workshop Reviews

5 Rating 9 Reviews
A friend and I signed up for the KOKEDAMA plant ball class. I’d seen these beautiful plants before and always wondered how they were made so, when I saw this Class Bento class, I signed up immediately. They’re really unique and stunning. Everything was perfect. There were 6 of us there so we all got individual attention. The location was easy to get to via car (free street parking) and bus. The setup was comfortable and spacious enough to work on our plants without bumping into each other. They had laid out all the plants and materials for us. The plants they provided were nice, healthy plants, too. Not ones that looked weak - that they were trying to get rid of. The plants were also selected based on their natural root structure so they would thrive in a plant ball. One thing to know is that you’re working with wet plant mixture so wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. The teacher was great at explaining what kokedama was, how to create a kokedama plant and how to care for it. She also showed us some display plates and bowls which were very reasonably priced. And for an extra $10 she let us do another plant. See photos of the plants displayed on the plates I purchased at the shop. One of the plates was $5, and the other was $18, very reasonable. The plant shop is very cute; not fussy or fancy but filled with charm, locally-made goods, and very reasonably priced plants, terraria and accessories. I highly recommend taking this class. You’ll walk away with knowledge about kokedama and a beautiful plant centerpiece!
