“The Wall Rug Tufting Class at #Craftsman Ave was again very enjoyable! Isabel (instructor) is very knowledgable about tufting and offered excellent advice during the actual tufting. Isabel began the workshop by helping each participant with his/her/their design, offering advice on the complexity and if needed how to make simpler. After that, she offered advice on the colors the person wanted to use and if it would look good or offered good choices on which colors to use.
After the designs were drawn on the canvas, she then proceeded to give a demostration of the tools we'd be using. On the canvas was a drawn image that if the student desired could be used to practice using the tufting gun. After the demo, we went to work on the actual tufting, again with Isabel there to answer questions or provide assistance. At the end of tufting, she instructed us on how to glue and back the rug. We, were then shown how and allowed to shave the rug for maximum effect.
