“Fun class!
Instructors go through every step before the class. They are always checking on you to make sure you are doing good and guide you.
It is a beautiful experience !”
“INCREDIBLE! Everything from the experience to the attention you get from the host is amazing. Super flexible and a “yes you can”, “no problem” attitude. Highly recommend.”
“The Porcelain Mugs Pottery Class conducted at @Wilcoxson Brooklyn Ceramics was very enjoyable. Kevin; the workshop moderator; began with a brief overview of the different types of ceramics and methods of working with the ceramics. After that, a brief demostration of what I and the other participants will be doing was conducted. A discussion on how the project will be covered with glaze, inserted into kiln and fired. After that the class was left to work on his/her own project. Options are two mugs, two mugs each with a saucer, planter and base or complete dinner set.
After each completed their particular project, we poured clay on our design, waited for it to dry and Kevin then aided each student on removing from mold and how to take the flat clay and mold into whatever your projects was. The last step was addition of a handle to the mug, if so desired.
This workshop allows each participant to not only be creative on the outer; and inner; surfaces but also on the shape itself of the mug, planter, bowl or plate.
Anyone looking to work with porcelain clay and also be creative in creating a unique object I would sign up for one of the options at Wilcoxson Brooklyn Ceramics in Brooklyn, NY.”
