“I booked this class as a surprise for my wife’s birthday weekend, which also happened to be Valentine’s weekend. She’s an avid painter, so I expected this to be a fun, unique experience.
Instead, when we arrived, they had no record of our reservation or my payment (nearly $200). The host repeatedly told us we “weren’t on the list” and then said they “don’t use ClassBento anymore.” That may be their internal issue, but it shouldn’t become the customer’s problem - especially when the booking and payment were made through the platform.
What made it worse was the attitude. Rather than calmly trying to fix it, the host was dismissive and confrontational, and the situation turned into an unnecessary argument. To their credit, they did let us complete the class, and the painting portion was enjoyable, but the customer service completely soured the experience.
I wouldn’t return, and I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they seriously improve how they handle customers and booking issues.”
