“Clay is an extremely sweet, accommodating, and helpful instructor, and the class was fun and truly unique -- I'm not aware of anyone else doing this! The results were so pretty, and I loved the opportunity to bring a top and experiment on that, as well!”
“The bleach-dyeing tote workshop was very enjoyable. Clay; the instructor; is very friendly and knowledgeable on the process of dying a black tote bag using bleach, a hydrogen peroxide and distilled water solution and finally distilled water to rinse out hydrogen peroxide.
The process is easy, wrap the tote into water shapes you desire, use rubber bands to hold in place and then pour, drip, spray or use a sponge to apply the bleach. Then watch as the bleach changes the black tote bag into varying shades of brown. Remove bands, continue to watch the color change. When the tote reaches the desired effect, immerse in peroxide solution to nullify the bleacb, wash in the water and then done.
All in all, a fun and interesting process, that I recommend to anyone looking for a different style of dyeing.”
